Between Two Points

Lyrics by S. Palermo

we’ve got forever
slippin through our hands
we’ve got more time
to never understand

falling footsteps
weighing heavy on me

behind darkness
beneath candles
whispers waltz
around our dreams

the shortest distance
between two points
is the line
from me to you

feet turning black
is this the path we must walk
no turning back
wish i could just hear you talk

can something like this be pulled
from under our feet
leaving our skin
and burning coals to meet

tell me now

the shortest distance
between two points
is the line
from me to you

freedom ☆ eternal love ☆ limitless joy…

This is a song that I’ve been waiting my whole life to come out. It sums up my existence in one song. I could listen to it over and over. LUV.

  4. Eve (Invader Eve) says:

Are you SURE those are the REAL lyrics? Nothing against you, of course–but I’m just unsure. After all, my mp3 version is the voice-change type, so it’s hard to make out. But if you’re sure…
Anyway–love the song, love the Glitch Mob even more, and apologize if I sound judgemental. Thanks!

I love this song, I bought new headphones just to listen to it in lossless. My play count in itunes is over 100 lol But the lyrics are incomplete just before the last chorus, “tell me now,…”

and its one of the hardest parts to understand

    wow, over 100! : ) i think it’s almost a part of you, now… ♥ thank you.

sometimes i choose to not form recognizable words out of the sounds that i make when recording and writing a song (it’s often more accurately expressive of an emotion), and i think that spot that you mention was one of those times… sometimes, if i try, i do find words buried in those sounds, and even i have to struggle to decipher what i am saying in that otherworld language. ; ) it’s like mining for diamonds, or translating some unknown dialect.

eve ☆ that’s funny. well yes, i’m surely sure. the lyrics posted are accurate for all of the actual words in the song… i realize some of it might be hard to understand, but they’re all there. as for the non-words, i wrote a little about that in my response to Brutis’ comment above. hope that helps.

    thanks eve ☆ stay true

So relaxing listening to you sing this song! Between Two points is about 1/3 of the reason I downloaded all of “Drink the Sea” from Amazon, if you consider play counts. Lately, I’m even falling asleep to this one on my phone. Epic.
